To the author, Karen McQuestion, all your character's are well defined which make’s me feel that I can visually see what each and every character looks like, see what they are wearing, see their facial reactions, and what each one is thinking, their like's and dislike's, their personalities, weakness, their courage, their concerns etc. Your descriptions are spot on, even when you are telling a reader about the not so nice people. You describe clothing, scenery, places, things etc. To me it is like I am watching a movie and can see everything you see in your head. I like the different personality's that Russ, Nadia, Mallory and Jameson have. All different. I also like the cover which show’s the main 4 characters.

You have accomplished to educate me and have me hooked on a genre I had not read before. Your descriptions of the power's that Nadia, Mallory, Jameson, Russ, Sam Specter and others were intriguing . You have also educated me about the Associates vs. the Praetorian Guard. I Google everything that I don't know about and I did Google and got educated about the Praetorian Guard in 275 BC, and other things you mentioned. You had to have done a lot of research with all that is in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed everything in Absolution. 58 chapters in this story and they flew by for me for sure. Thank you Karen McQuestion.

I kept wanting to turn the pages to see what was happening or what was going to happen next. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. There are many twists and turns and unexpected happenings through out the story, it was a great interesting read.

I am not a spoiler so I will carefully write the following. After reader's read Absolution they will know who I am talking about. I really appreciated Karen McQ. including what some family members were going through and no matter what the problem she showed commitment, devotion, emotions and love that was given and how important these qualities are in life.

I am no spring chicken, I am a few months away from seventy--yikes, yet I have read all 10 of this author's books which are books for kids, young adults and adults and enjoyed every one of them. I recommend Absolution and every book Karen McQuestion has written.

Nearly everything I thought I knew about the Edgewood series was wrong. I just wasn’t expecting some of the twists and turns in this book. The fact that the underground Praetorian Guard city was called PGDC bothered me a little bit, though. I used to live in southern Maryland so PG to me is PG County so it just kind of made me do a mental double-take every time I read PGDC. Like the previous book, this one was told alternating between Nadia and Russ with more chapters from Russ’s point of view this time. That was extremely effective, especially since Nadia was left at home and she could astral project and learn things Russ never could. I very highly recommend reading Absolution (but read the first two books first)!
I felt that there was a lot of loose ends that were not explained. I also didn't like that Nadia and Russ were apart 90% of the time. Instead of the character's developing they are almost regressing. You'd think that a main character like Jameson would grow through his experiences, but he stays as complicated and annoying as ever so I wonder what the point of him is. Mallory isn't much better, but I can forgive that since she was brainwashed most of the time. I think the "who is on who's side" is getting a little out of control, and the author needs to cool it down with that. Kevin Adams is supposed to be this super moral character, and I thought he was going to help the heroes save the day (with more than showing Russ a comic book, but instead he ends up driving the getaway car...I'll read the 4th one, but I feel a little put off by this one. The second book was my favorite.
Loved Absolution! Another page turner, exciting and well written book in this awesome Edgewood Series. I love the four main characters of the Edgewood series and I am glad that McQuestion expanded on a few of the supporting characters this time, especially Carly and David. This book begins where Wanderlust ends. So many twists and turns and new things revealed.

Glad we were able to see more into the Praetorian Guard and the workings of the organization. It is fun to think a city really does exsit under Washington DC, who are working to keep our world safe. Also, it is clear that in stories of good and evil, love is what saves the day. Russ and Nadia are stronger when they feel supported and loved not just when fighting off the Associates but also in their everyday life.

I love Karen McQuestions books, all of them. She gives you a full understanding of her characters and really brings you into their lives and the story she tells. I hate it when I finish one of her books because I just feel so attached to her characters. Can't wait for the next book!!
